Dear Ruth
I am in the process of lodging a complaint with the Administrative
Appeals Tribunal in relation to your letter of 10th. May informing
me that Screen Australia will no longer communicate with me in any way or
accept funding applications from me.
The success or otherwise of my complaint, my request for a review, will
hinge on whether or not I have corresponded with members of Screen Australia’s
staff in a way that could be construed to amount to harassment, intimidation or
to placing members of your staff at risk.
It is my contention that no such correspondence exists, just as it has
been my contention this past 17 months that the correspondence Fiona Cameron
refers to in her 12th Nov 2010 does not exist.
If you are convinced that such correspondence exists and that you can
mount a case before the Tribunal that my correspondence has been written with
the intention to harass and intimidate members of your staff, you will no doubt
wish to have the matter heard and resolved such that precisely who is playing
fast and loose with the truth can be determined by an independent arbiter once
and for all.
I would suggest the following as a more appropriate way of resolving this dispute:
- Ross Mathews and Claire Jager apologize for completing an assessment
without viewing the ‘promo’ that was its centrepiece.
- Fiona Cameron apologize for claiming that Screen Australia has on file
correspondence from me which does not exist.
- You apologize to me for accusing me of harassing and intimidating
Screen Australia staff and placing them at risk when I have not done so.
If you would prefer to have these questions deal with by the Administrative
Appeals Tribunal this is, of course, your prerogative.
best wishes

The expression 'Throwing down the gauntlet' comes to mind. Am dying to see who is left standing after this unseemly stoush.
