My days are spent mostly with creative work and, on average, not more than 10 minutes a day goes into my ‘battle’ with Screen Australia. As for no-one reading my blog, this is not so. On a slow day 20 people read it, on an average day around 30 and on a good day between 40 and 60. Since my ban I have received clos to 24,000 page hits. Clearly there is some interest in my ‘battle’. There are many who support me privately but who do not wish to do so publicly.<br />James Ricketsonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6711474060981003322.post-29223817691055812832013-06-17T15:48:38.358-07:002013-06-17T15:48:38.358-07:00James, there is a time for strategic retreat and t...James, there is a time for strategic retreat and that time has come. Stop wasting your energy fighting a battle already lost. Put your energies into things creative or you’ll wind up (if you haven’t already) as an embittered single issue obsessive.Blind Freddynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6711474060981003322.post-1782894760933743042013-06-17T13:52:57.990-07:002013-06-17T13:52:57.990-07:00Yes, I have lost the battle and in all likelihood ...Yes, I have lost the battle and in all likelihood I have lost the war also but the fat lady hasn’t sung yet so, who knows, perhaps with a change of government and a change of Chief Executive there might be some new people in the upper echelons of power within Screen Australia and the Ministry of the Arts in a few months who believe that it is not appropriate to ban a filmmaker without providing him and the industry of which he is a part with evidence of the crimes he has been found guilty of in a kangaroo court; a Minister for the Arts and a new Chief Executive who are actually committed to the ideals of transparency and accountability in practice and not merely in word. We shall see.James Ricketsonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6711474060981003322.post-83258250307303284132013-06-17T00:03:26.098-07:002013-06-17T00:03:26.098-07:00James, you’ve lost the battle. Screen Australia can afford to ignore you, safe in the knowledge that no-one reads your blog. And Ms Fulton couldn’t care one way or another about what happens to one lone filmmaker.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
